I was a little dubious to start that the epic tale of Beowulf could be condensed into 60 pages but the creative team have done a fantastic job adapting the tale into this graphic novel. Whether you are familiar with the story or just a fan of epic fantasy adventure you will find much to love here. The black and white artwork lends itself well, especially to the horrors of Grendel and his mother, and the attacks on Heorot.
