In the last week of August 2011 DC brought their existing line of titles to an end and replaced them with a line of 52 first issues that takes place in a new post-Flashpoint universe. From #13 the title becomes Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Man.
This title saw the launch of the new DCU Firestorm which created a new concept for Firestorm where individually, both Jason Rusch and Ronnie Raymond would be able to operate as Firestorm separately, but when they combine, they create a bigger, more powerful Firestorm.
In common with other 'new 52 titles', issue #1 sold out soon to be followed by a second printing. The title, however, was cancelled after #20.
