Collector Notes:
Titles like Tales of Suspense and Tales to Astonish featured strange monsters and weird creatures in a (mostly) science fiction context and between May and Jul 1960 were gradually introduced into British newsagents.
Tales to Astonish gradually moved away from the monster content and began to highlight some of the Marvel anti-heroes still famous to this day such as The Incredible Hulk and the Sub-Mariner and after a run of 101 issues the series changed its name to The Incredible Hulk (2nd Series).
#27 (Jan 1962) Very scarce in the UK as a pence variant copy variant owing to very limited distribution at the time. Origin and 1st appearance of Ant-Man (in a fantasy/horror story, no costume).
A hot book in 2015 with the Ant-Man movie starring Paul Rudd.
This is traditionally the hardest Silver Age key Marvel issue to find in higher grades. The UK variant VF/NM price and anything above is entirely theoretical!
Reprinted in Incredible Hulk Comic #1 in the British comics section. The British variant has a printed ninepence cover price in place of the American ten cents.
