A series of seven graphic novels in Trade Paper Back format. The stories were adaptations of works published by well-known science-fiction authors rather than being original stories.
The series was edited by Julius Schwartz who made use of his connections to recruit the famous authors whose works were adapted. The series is notable for being the last editorial work Schwartz did before he retired.
Between 1983 to 1986, DC had also published, prior to this series, a series called DC Science Fiction Graphic Novel.
