Large tabloid size with those great summer fun covers - beaches and boats, sandcastles and sky.
The series came out of the very first Dandy-Beano Summer Special from 1963.
The last regular annual Beano and Dandy Summer Specials were in 2002 and then they continued after a fashion as Beano Special Series and Dandy Special Series from 2003 onwards.
