In the last week of August 2011 DC brought their existing line of titles to an end and replaced them with a line of 52 first issues that takes place in a new post-Flashpoint universe.
This book saw the launch of the new DCU Batwoman with Kate Kane continuing as the heroine following her successful run in Detective Comics where she was the lead character in issues #854-863.
The first issues of the 'new 52' quickly sold out and 2nd printings followed.
