All-American Comics was the flagship title of the comic book publisher All-American Publications, one of the forerunners of DC Comics. It ran for 102 issues from 1939 to 1948. An important Golden Age comic title that is chiefly known for the first appearance of Green Lantern with issue #16. Other key issues include issue #19, the first appearance of The Atom and issue #25, the first appearance of Dr. Mid-Nite.

All-American Publications and all its titles were purchased by National Periodicals DC Comics in 1946. In 1948, answering the diminishing interest in super hero titles and a growing demand for western comics, All-American Comics changed its title and format to All American Western. In 1952, it changed title and format again to All American Men of War, which lasted two more issues (#127-128) until the series was cancelled. DC immediately relaunched All-American Men of War under a new numbering system beginning, strangely enough, with #2.)
